Text - Dr. Navras Aafreedi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Presidency University, Kolkata, where he teaches courses in Jewish History, Genocide Studies, Interfaith Relations, and Minority Studies. He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) New York.

Dr. Aafreedi is the first person to make any worthwhile contributions to Jewish Studies in the Urdu language, the lingua franca of almost all South Asian Muslims, though he writes primarily in English and Hindi. He also regularly podcasts in Urdu on Jewish themes.
